What information we collect
We only collect information you actively give us. This happens in two main ways:

How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored within our business systems, which run on Microsoft 365 and associated cloud infrastructure. Microsoft's data centres that service New Zealand customers are located in Australia and comply with ISO 27001 and other internationally recognised security standards.
We apply appropriate technical and organisational controls to protect the information we hold, including multi-factor authentication, access controls, and encrypted communications. We take this seriously — information security is core to what we do.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. For general enquiries that don't result in an ongoing relationship, we'll typically hold your contact details for up to two years. For clients, we retain records in line with standard NZ business and tax requirements (generally seven years for financial records).
When information is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete or securely destroy it.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate our business — such as our accounting software (Xero) or CRM (Odoo) — who are bound by appropriate data handling agreements
- Government agencies or regulators where we're legally required to do so
That's it. We're not in the business of passing your details around.
Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you
- Request access to any personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct any information that's inaccurate or misleading
